Abundance Catalyst is a fundraising consulting firm supporting movement organizations advancing racial and environmental justice, economic equity,
LGBTQIA+ rights, democracy, immigrant rights, and more. We help nonprofits and advocacy groups build sustainable fundraising programs so they can raise more money, build more power, and win real change. We value alignment with our mission, autonomy in how we work, continuous learning, and a culture of both
excellence and care. We believe fundraising can be strategic, values-aligned, technology-forward, and joyful, and we partner with organizations that are building
the world we want to live in. This role is a strong fit for experienced Development Directors, fundraising consultants, and movement fundraisers who want to work across multiple organizations while deepening their strategic fundraising skills.
The Role
This is a high-trust, client-facing role at the core of our work. You will serve as the lead advisor for your client portfolio, with coaching, collaboration, and support from the founder and the broader team. You will lead fundraising engagements with movement organizations, working directly with Executive Directors, Development Directors, and senior leaders to strengthen major donor programs, improve messaging, grow revenue, and build systems that support long-term sustainability.
You'll have significant autonomy in how you lead client engagements, while collaborating regularly with the founder on strategy, problem-solving, and
continuous improvement. You will own client relationships, guide strategy, and drive execution. Over time, you will become a key thought partner in shaping how we serve clients, improve our consulting frameworks, and grow the firm. You'll help shape not only our clients' fundraising strategies, but also the future of Abundance Catalyst as we grow.
Clients are typically $1M-$10M organizations with small or no development teams working across democracy, racial justice, immigrant rights, environmental justice, housing, behavioral health, LGBTQIA+ rights, and related movements. Most clients are actively working to strengthen major donor fundraising, foundation revenue, fundraising systems, and leadership capacity.
Typical workload includes approximately 28-32 hours per week of client-facing work, with the remaining time focused on consulting practice development, firm growth, and internal collaboration. Over time, you will become the primary relationship manager and strategic advisor for a portfolio of approximately 4-5 client
organizations.
