Our School – Kitsap Lake Elementary School
Kitsap Lake Elementary is a vibrant K–5 learning community in the Bremerton School District where the belief that everyone is welcome and everyone belongs shapes every aspect of the school's culture. Guided by the motto "Learning's Great at the Lake!" and the core values of Learning, Achievement, Kindness, and Excellence (L.A.K.E.), the school is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment where every student is known, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential. A hallmark of the school is its implementation of the Ron Clark Academy House System, which places every student and staff member into one of eight cross-grade "houses" that foster belonging, leadership, teamwork, and positive relationships across the school community. Through house meetings, schoolwide celebrations, and opportunities to earn points by demonstrating character, kindness, perseverance, and academic effort, students develop a strong sense of identity and collective responsibility while building meaningful connections beyond their classrooms.
Kitsap Lake has also earned Washington State recognition for outstanding student growth and for closing achievement gaps for students receiving special education services, as well as Hispanic/Latino and Multiracial students, reflecting the school's unwavering commitment to equitable outcomes for every learner.
