Description
Continuing Education Accreditation Consultant (Contract)
More Therapy / More Science Institute — Remote — Project-Based Contract
About Us
More Therapy commercializes M.O.R.E. (Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement), a clinically validated, 8-session protocol for substance use and opioid use disorder developed by Dr. Eric Garland (Endowed Professor, UCSD; Director, UCSD ONEMIND). The protocol is backed by $90M in federal research and 16+ RCTs. We're commercializing a clinician certification and companion patient app, and need to put rigorous, well-documented continuing education accreditation behind both.
The Engagement
We need an experienced CE/CPD accreditation professional to audit, document, and expand our continuing education approvals for behavioral health clinicians — social workers, counselors, psychologists, and addiction professionals.
Initial scope (20–40 hours):
Audit existing approvals. We currently hold an NASW-Utah chapter CE approval. Confirm in writing, in plain terms, exactly which states/boards this is recognized by today, and document the gap between state-chapter-level approval and broader recognition.
Recommend the right accreditation path(s). Evaluate whether we should pursue:
ASWB Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program — the social-work-specific accreditation broadly recognized across state boards (used by most established CE providers in this space, e.g., NetCE, CE4Less, Agents of Change)
NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) status — for the ~60,000 NCCs nationally
APA CE Sponsor approval — for psychologists
NAADAC approved provider status — already in progress; consultant to review/support as needed
Own the application process for whichever path(s) are recommended, including learning objectives, instructor qualifications, course documentation, and any required diversity/competency components.
Deliver a clear go-forward map: what's approved, where it's valid, what's pending, and what it would take to reach full multi-board, multi-state coverage.
What We're Looking For
Direct experience navigating ASWB-ACE, NBCC ACEP, and/or APA CE sponsorship applications
Familiarity with NAADAC and state-level social work board CE requirements
Comfort explaining accreditation scope/limitations clearly to a non-specialist team
Behavioral health or addiction treatment content experience a plus, not required
