About the PNA
Headquartered in a historic former elementary school, the PNA has developed over the last 40 years into an active community-focused 501(c)(3) organization that not only serves as a community hub for Northwest Seattle, but also offers programs and activities that reach far beyond the immediate neighborhoods. The PNA serves over 27,000 people each year and has 60 staff members, 1,500 volunteers, and had an annual budget of $2.5 million.
Current programs include a licensed school age program at Whittier Elementary School, programs for seniors (including the Greenwood Senior Center and PNA Village), room rentals, a hot meal program, a business membership program, family and individual memberships, four preschool cooperatives, a tool and seed lending library, an art gallery, a community education program, and countless special events that bring friends and neighbors together. The PNA is engaged in an intentional and ongoing process to evaluate and improve equity, diversity, and inclusion in all of its programs and practices.
