501 Commons is a resource for community organizations, schools, associations, philanthropy, volunteers, and all others in the 501 sector. We offer a first stop for people looking for resources to strengthen nonprofits through:
- Affordable consulting services, leadership coaching, executive advising, cohort programs, and back office services, like bookkeeping
- Opportunities for professionals to volunteer their time and talents
- Collaboration within the nonprofit sector and with government, business, and philanthropy
- A searchable online directory to link nonprofits across the state with tools, best practices, curated weblinks, a map of discounted venues, consultants, and other service providers who specialize in nonprofits
Company History
501 Commons was founded in 1989 as Executive Service Corps of Washington. In 2010, we changed our name to 501 Commons, reflecting a changing role and broader range of services. In 2012, we absorbed some of the programs and services of the Alliance for Nonprofits and the technology services of NPower Northwest.
