Description
The Support Services department is looking for qualified candidates for a Transportation Supervisor position. This is a full-time, year round position with full benefit package available. The Transportation Supervisor works at the Support Services department located in Redmond.
Position Summary:
The Transportation Supervisor supports the daily operations of the transportation department to ensure safe and efficient pupil transportation in support of the District’s instructional and activity programs for students. The Transportation Supervisor provides supervision of transportation staff including bus drivers, dispatchers, routers, and other administrative staff as assigned. The Transportation Supervisor reports to the Director of Transportation.
Salary: Professional Technical - Level M. Step 1: $126,289/ year ($60.48 per hour), 261 days. This is an exempt position. Full benefit package available. SC10 Prof Tech Salary Schedule

Requirements
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, or related field is preferred.
At least four (4) years of transportation operations experience, including bus driving, dispatching, training, or supervising staff.
Washington state school bus transportation experience is strongly preferred.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION: Valid Washington State driver's license, valid commercial driver's license with school bus and passenger endorsement (preferred), valid Department of Transportation physical card, valid First Aid and CPR certification. Driver Trainer Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire is preferred.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, or related field is preferred. At least four (4) years of transportation operations experience, including bus driving, dispatching, training, or supervising staff. Washington state school bus transportation experience is strongly preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some walking and bending; and frequent keyboarding. Generally, the job requires 40% sitting, 30% walking and 30% standing. The job is performed with the majority of time spent indoors and under minimal temperature variations; a portion of the day will be time spent outdoors and is subject to a variety of changing weather conditions and potentially uneven/slippery surfaces.
