Description
Position Summary:A global bank headquartered in New York is actively expanding its coverage of securitized products and investing significant resources into building out this business line. The team provides access to a wide array of products such as asset-backed securities, agency mortgage-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations, agency commercial mortgage-backed securities, repurchase agreements, and structured financing solutions.
Sales professionals collaborate closely with trading desks, investment banking, syndicate teams, research strategists, and economists to deliver customized solutions that address client needs across macroeconomic trends, relative value opportunities, and asset-liability management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional clients across various securitized product segments
- Monitor market developments and trends across relevant asset classes
- Partner with banking and syndicate teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business
- Collaborate with other product teams to drive cross-selling initiatives
- Support team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment
- Coordinate with middle office and support staff to ensure timely trade capture and confirmation
- Facilitate client onboarding in partnership with credit, legal, compliance, and operations teams
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees (MBA, CFA) are advantageous
- 5-10+ years of experience in securitized product sales or related fields
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Results-oriented with a high level of accountability
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Innovative mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
