Description

The In-House Sales role is the office contact for our customers at our headquarters in Cottage Grove, MN. This is a support position for our outside sales reps in Minnesota, Dakotas, Wisconsin and West Coast territories.  This position receives phone calls, fax, and email from customers regarding orders and is their primary responsibility to respond to these requests. This is a 5 day in-office desk job.  There is also an opportunity to work with our Display/Trial Gardens or aid in the upkeep of our plant care information in this role if interested. 

Primary tasks include but not limited to: 

• Respond to customer inquiries and adjustments to orders in timely manner
• Respond and resolve any product/shipping issues immediately
• Offer substitutions for items that are not available
• Contact customers to schedule order pick up from facility
• Work with Sales Rep to accommodate larger customer needs and resolve issues
• Assist Sales Rep in contacting customers for orders
• Maintain customer profiles in assigned territories
• Help find Leads in Sales Rep Territories

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail
• Familiar with Microsoft Suite products
• Perennial plant knowledge a plus
• Degree in Horticultural program preferred
