- Family Physician Medical Director
Description
This unique Medical Director position is ideal for an experienced Family Medicine physician who has a passion for ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to patients of all ages, many of whom have disabilities.
As Medical Director, you will serve as a leader in shaping the culture and future of the organization. You will lead a dedicated medical team and provide direct patient care (approximately 50%), both in-person and via telemedicine, to patients whose needs span a wide range of clinical complexity. In this multi-disciplinary, team-oriented environment, physician schedules allow for the time needed to provide holistic care to patients and their families.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO and staff to build upon our mission-driven, patient- centered culture
- Ensure individualized care plans that respect patient autonomy and dignity.
- Lead programs to continually improve patient outcomes and ensure adherence to all medical standards.
- Drive development and implementation of medical services within our strategic plan.
- Represent Center Healthcare in the medical community, building partnerships and connections across the region.
- Provide direct patient care as part of your portfolio of responsibilities.

Requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships.
- Strong experience in patient care, both onsite and via telemedicine.
- Ability to navigate complex medical and ethical issues.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical documentation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Active NY state M.D. or D.O. license.
- Board Certification by an appropriate American Specialty Board in Family Medicine. Dual Board Certification in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is also appropriate for this position. Additional training and experience in developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Administrative experience is preferred.
