This is a full-time Temporary position with a projected end date of 4/3/2026.
This is a hybrid position working remotely most of the time with approximately 15% travel to Yakima, WA and potentially any of our sites throughout WA State and Oregon. Candidates must reside in one of these U.S. states: Washington (excluding the city of Seattle), Oregon, or California (there are some restrictions within certain areas of California).
Join our HR Training Team as a Temporary Epic Principal Trainer and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing healthcare delivery. As the Epic Principal Trainer, you will be the master of assigned Epic applications, designing, developing, and maintaining instructional materials to ensure seamless user adoption. You'll have the opportunity to respond to end-user training issues and coordinate software trainings while maintaining and troubleshooting training environments. You'll contribute to the development of a robust Super User program and provide expert Epic education and training to internal staff. Position Highlights:
$37.49 to $48.09 DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
What You'll Do:
Masters assigned Epic application(s) and understands other Epic applications.
Designs, develops, and maintains instructional materials for assigned Epic application(s).
Credentials trainers (CTs) for end-user instruction by completing a 6-week Credentialing program.
Responds to training issues reported by end users; conducts research and resolves in a timely fashion.
Coordinates new software and software update trainings.
Maintains and troubleshoots issues in training environments (MST). May include build of new applications implemented.
Collaborates with Credentialed Trainers in the development and support of Super User program.
Assist Credentialed Trainers with the delivery of Epic software, as needed.
Serves as expert educator to internal staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business Administration, or a Healthcare field OR
Associate's Degree and two additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree OR
High School Diploma or GED and four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
Three years' experience in adult education; two of which are in the healthcare industry.
Inclusive of two years' experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software.
Experience with Epic (EMR) software preferred.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software training environment build preferred.
One or more Epic certification/proficiency required; or ability to acquire certification within 90 days of employment.
Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
Ability to attend a series of Training, Environments, and Documentation (TED) courses for principal trainers.
Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills with individuals and groups.
Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Intermediate proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, Camtasia or Captivate, and Zoom.
Knowledge of adult educational theory.
Knowledge of clinical operations work-flow.
