Director of Sales, National - Premion (A TEGNA Company)
Premion, a division of TEGNA, is a market-leading OTT/CTV advertising solution trusted by thousands of local, regional, and national advertisers. We are looking for a Director of Sales, National. They will develop, and grow our West Coast revenue strategy. This leader will oversee a team of Regional Sales Managers and Senior Account Executives across multiple markets, while also personally holding and advancing strategic business with key agencies, holding companies, and high-value accounts. This role reports to the Head of National Sales.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional sales team across multiple markets
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, pipeline management, and deal support
- Own regional forecasting, pacing, revenue planning, and accountability to quarterly revenue targets
- Foster collaboration and alignment with internal Sales Operations, Planning, Marketing, AdOps, DSP/Data/Measurement, and Finance teams
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Drive strategic sales planning and execution to achieve and exceed revenue targets for the West region
- Manage and expand relationships with top agencies, holding companies, and enterprise-level advertisers
- Work directly with sellers on strategic account planning, negotiation, and closing
- Identify market trends, client challenges, and emerging opportunities to develop actionable strategies
Industry Expertise & Market Positioning:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in OTT/CTV, audience data, attribution solutions, and performance measurement
- Provide perspective on marketplace conditions, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and product enhancements
Requirements:
- 7+ years of digital media or premium video sales experience, with meaningful leadership responsibility
- Strong track record of managing and scaling sales teams and revenue growth
- Deep experience selling to agencies, holding companies, national brands, and regional advertisers
- Demonstrated success selling OTT/CTV, audience/data solutions, and/or advanced video products
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and relationship development skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute with urgency and clarity
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills; command of pipeline discipline and sales methodologies
Compensation Information:
Base Salary Range: $150,000-180,000
Bonus/ Variable Range: $100,000 - 175,000

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA's 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.
Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor's appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.
TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
