We aim to bring warmth and energy to everything we do. We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Sales Support Specialist I based in Fort Smith, AR.
POSITION SUMMARY
Deliver professional customer service during all customer interactions regarding new natural gas service requests, changes to existing gas service and other general customer service interactions. Provide ongoing support to Sales Team during new service installation and conversion process. Provide support required by customer service teams or general policy and procedures as approved by the State Public Service Commission.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process new service requests and modifications accurately, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely completion.Assist Sales Team by researching, gathering information, and updating Customer Information System.Communicate with customers across various channels (phone, email, chat) to handle inquiries, requests, and policy-related issues effectively.Utilize Customer Information System and other resources to research, analyze, and resolve service-related matters promptly.Serve as a liaison between internal teams and customers to align service expectations and facilitate communication.Manage city and state inspections for new service installations to ensure regulatory compliance.Support team success by completing tasks promptly, promoting professionalism, and fostering continuous improvement.Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to streamline communication and monitor order completion.Monitor installation processes and take necessary actions to ensure timely completion.Provide support for various organizational functions and initiatives as required.Collaborate with technical teams to maintain accurate customer information for operational efficiency.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years customer service experience required.Demonstrated ability to resolve issues with a high degree of professionalism.College degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Must be able to perform job duties in customer service, Must be able to handle interactions through multiple forms of contact (inbound/outbound phone calls, email, chat etc.),Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.Ability to utilize Customer Information Systems and other applications.Must be team oriented.Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.Proficient stress management skills to remain calm and composed under pressure while handling customer inquiries or resolving issues.Must be able to maintain positive relationships with customers, builders, real estate agencies, field service personnel, sales team members, inspectors, and regulatory authorities.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
