Role Summary
As the Customer Sales Analyst you will be responsible for supporting sales by providing sales reporting, administrative, and customer support. The role could have direct contact with a variety of roles at Walmart including Planning, Merchandising, and Replenishment, as well as internally including Sales/Account Management, Replenishment, Demand Planning, Logistics and Marketing. This role will assist the Walmart Sales Lead in the day-to-day management of planning and monitoring executional objectives. This role will be the primary architect and administrator for all category/segment/item level reporting.
What You'll Do:
Weekly Reporting & Insights
• Own weekly reporting of retail sales results, scorecards, POS, inventory and POS forecasts
• Pull raw data from Retail Link and translate results into actionable insights
• Provide weekly performance recaps to internal teams and the Walmart buyer (instocks, units/store/week, key callouts)
• Track sell-through on features, modular changes, and promotional items
Analytics & Storytelling
• Analyze promotional performance compared to expectations/investment
• Conduct market basket analysis and other customer-specific analytics as assigned
• Provide insights and visuals that support Line Reviews, customer touch bases, and internal strategy meetings
E-Commerce & Item Management
• Manage online item setup and ongoing content accuracy for Walmart.com
• Assist with e-commerce data scrubs and troubleshoot inaccuracies
• Manage item creation and maintenance for Walmart US and Canada
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Work closely with Sales, Replenishment, Planning, and Marketing to support new item launches and promotional planning
• Review and align customer POS forecasts with internal forecast teams
• Communicate regularly with customer replenishment to ensure business continuity
What You'll Bring to the Team
• 2+years of Walmart analytical experience — Walmart supplier or Walmart direct
• Strong command of Retail Link (required); Walmart.com experience (highly preferred)
• Ability to combine data, insights and storytelling to drive business decisions
• Experience managing 200+ active SKUs while juggling multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization
• Experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Numerator) is a plus
• High collaboration, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset
The hiring range for this position in Schaumburg, IL or Bentonville, AR is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
