Job Purpose:
The Teacher Education Department is seeking an experienced educator to teach a cross listed undergraduate/graduate level course focused on reading assessment and intervention for K-12 students. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of reading and writing development, literacy instruction, and the assessment-evaluation-instruction cycle. Expertise in administering and interpreting a range of reading assessments-including diagnostic, formative, and summative tools. Candidates should have experience designing individualized literacy plans and implementing evidence-based strategies to support students with reading difficulties.

Essential Functions:
- Teach undergraduate/gradate level course focused on reading assessment and intervention for K-12 students.
- Grade assignments and provide feedback to students; submit mid-semester and final grades via Canvas
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in literacy, reading education, curriculum instruction, or a closely related field.
- Experience designing individualized literacy plans and implementing evidence-based strategies to support students with reading difficulties.
- Prior K-12 teaching experience, particularly in reading intervention or special education, is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate a commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy and be able to foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for teacher candidates.
