Educating Leaders for a Just and Humane World

In 2004, Seattle University's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program became the first MPA program in Washington to earn accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration. The MPA program is a 54 credit program, designed to accommodate working professionals.

The MPA program offers:

•  courses in the evenings and on Saturdays;
•  a multidisciplinary curriculum with practice in public policy, organizational leadership, economics, public finance, and administrative law;
•  specializations in government and nonprofit management for students seeking careers in these sectors;
•  small classes, which serve to facilitate interaction between students and teachers both in and out of the classroom;
•  opportunities for working professionals to apply academic lessons in the workplace;
•  access to mentors and alumni, as well as faculty and staff, for career and academic guidance; and
•  the opportunity to explore the theory and practice of ethical management and leadership in a supportive and challenging learning environment.

Interested individuals are invited to attend an upcoming MPA information session at Seattle University to meet with faculty and staff, learn about the MPA curriculum, application process, career opportunities, and more.
